The Camper Van - Monte! 

 

Monte is a brand VW T6 Camper. The Camper King, Monte Carlo (our Monte) is a 2 litre, TDI. It’s brand new and looks very suave in shiny deep black, with 20 inch Alloy wheels and the black gloss pack, you can’t help but notice it, it really does turn heads! 

 

It has a sunshade canopy attached to the side, perfect for keeping the van cool on those hot summer nights  or keeping you shaded whilst sitting under it having a barbecue (small metal barbecue stand for small throw away barbecue box included) 

 

The seats hold four passengers and are finished in a stylish half grey leather, half grey suede. Both the driver and front passenger seats swivel, 2 small tables create a cosy seating area. The flooring is a modern grey vinyl that compliments the interior and is easy to keep clean. 

 

Behind & under the back seat is space for storage. The back seat easily pulls down in to a double bed and the elevated roof top also allows room for another small double bed. We’ve upgraded both beds with comfortable memory foam toppers which also helps regulate your body temperature. We provide a mattress protector but we recommend you bring your own sleeping bags. 

 

Monte is fully equipped with a sat nav, a leisure battery for when you aren’t connected to the mains. It also has small tap & sink with running water, fridge with a small freezer compartment, 2 ring gas burners and a grill (gas bottle provided) It has top spec electric heating with a thermostat to enable you to keep the right temperature with ease. It has 2 UK plug sockets & a phone charging station, along with 2 USB points in the front. Black out blinds that easily slide shut on the majority of windows and thermal, black out covers that easily secure in place for those windows that don’t. Several touch spot lights located around the camper. 

 

We’ve tried to provide you with all the utilities we think you might need, including a kettle, cups, mugs, plates, dishes, cutlery, saucepans and general cooking utensils. 

 

We’ve provided a fold down washing up bowl as although there’s a sink it’s more suited to smaller tasks and you’ll usually find a wash room on the camp site for the bigger jobs. 

 

As you can imagine space is limited so we recommend travelling as light as possible. Bags that fold up when empty rather than suitcases, sleeping bags not duvets. Less is more & we learnt this pretty early on! 

 

Monte does come with a roof storage box for your essentials which makes it a nicer experience to travel. Please remember to empty it before you lift the roof though! With the extra space you might want to hire a blow up paddle board or kayak - see our extras page. 

 

We suggest microfibre towels as they dry quickly and fold down to nothing allowing you more space for your belongings. 

 

You will find a comprehensive manual if you’re unsure of anything, however we will provide you with a short video on the basics upon booking. We will also talk you over the main equipment upon pick up and we can provide short videos for anything you forget. 

 

The camper has a first aid kit, fire blanket and fire extinguisher on board for your safety. It is your responsibility to ensure the gas is off and you remain safe. 

 

Our campers are cleaned to a high standard, please ensure that they are returned in an acceptable condition. 

 

*** SMOKING IS NOT PERMITTED *** you forfeit your deposit if you attempt to do so. 

 

You will collect the camper with a full tank of diesel, you will need to return with a full tank of diesel or the cost will be deducted from your deposit. 

 

Monte has full comprehensive insurance for the UK & Europe. Please inform us if you intend on taking Monte outside of the UK so we can ensure you have the correct cover. (Extra charge for Europe travelling or travelling over a 100 miles per day, please ask for details) 

 

We carry out safety checks & inspect Monte upon return and before every handover, we will do a walk around together and jointly note any damage or areas of concern including looking over the inventory. All of our campers have emergency breakdown cover no matter where you are!

 

We are usually quite flexible with collection and drop off times although please let us know in advance what times suit you and we will do our best to accommodate you. You can leave your vehicle with us or if you are based in Bournemouth or Poole we can arrange for local drop off to your house.
